About Nevir-ER
Nevir-ER is the extended-release formulation of Nevirapine, allowing once-daily dosing (vs. twice-daily for IR formulation). Used as an NNRTI option in first-line ART regimens, especially in patients intolerant to Efavirenz. Requires a 2-week lead-in at 200mg IR before switching to ER.
Dosage & Administration
400mg once daily after a 14-day lead-in with 200mg IR Nevirapine twice daily.
